TSL Education Renames as TES Global

LONDON, September 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ —
TSL Education, the parent company of TES Connect.com, TES magazine, and THE, has changed its name to TES Global Limited to better reflect its position as a global education technology company across both the schools and higher education markets.

In the schools market, TES Global has long been the UK’s leading platform for bringing teachers and schools together in one of the most vibrant jobs markets in the world. TES placed over 100,000 teachers into new jobs in the past 12 months – with nearly 85% of those roles filled in just four weeks. In addition, TES’s online resource-sharing platform has now grown to 6.2 million members from 197 countries – making it the largest online network of teachers in the world.

To date, the TES Resources community has shared close to one million classroom resources across the world, which are now being downloaded about five million times a week – about 10 resources every second. Indeed, today TES Global’s digital community is one of the fastest growing of any profession globally, with an average of 24,000 teachers from around the world joining every week.

In the Higher Education market, the THE is one of the world’s leading brands for the academic and research community, both online and in print. Furthermore, the THE’s World University Rankings are one of the most respected and well-known global university performance tables, with the 2013-14 launch receiving over 2.8 million page views in the first 24 hours alone.

In recent months, TES Global has further enhanced the reach and functionality of its digital resources-sharing platforms with the acquisition of two San Francisco-based companies: the online collaboration platform Wikispaces and web-based educational tools creators Blendspace. At home, TES Global has also recently announced the acquisition of supply teaching agency Vision for Education.
