The City & Guilds Group, a London-based organisation that helps people and organisations to develop their skills for personal and economic growth, launched a £2.5 million investment fund for edtech startups.
The New Venture Fund is headed by John Yates. The fund will invest in growing, post-revenue edtech startups from across the globe that have a focus on skills development for people in transition from education to employment in return for equity stake.
Startups will also get access to the global City & Guilds Group network and expertise. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and can be send via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Founded in 1878, The City & Guilds Group has over 10.000 training centers across the globe which have trained over 20 million people in the past 15 years alone. The organisation was granted Royal Charter of Incorporation by Queen Victoria in 1900 and remains a Chartered Institute with the Royal President being Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
