London-based edtech accelerator program Emerge Education announced the seven participants of its January 2015 cohort. This is the third round since the launch of the accelerator in January 2014.
For the third cohort, Emerge Education received 136 applications from edtech startups from across the globe.

LearnFwd is an open-source authoring tool, adding a peer learning layer and progress monitoring to textbooks.
Unitu provides online academic networks that connect students, staff and course reps to collect and organize feedback and communication more effectively.
Recurrence creates gamified business case studies.
Ncite creates educational games for big brands with the aim to shift behavior in management and leadership.
