iversity, one of Europe’s leading MOOC platforms, announced that it has raised a seven-digit funding round from the current management team and outside investors in preparation of a larger round of growth funding later this year.
The German MOOC platform also celebrates its second birthday and over 1 million course enrollments to date.
In June iversity launched a series of online courses targeting professionals and companies. The iversity PRO courses currently cover business orientated topics, like presentation skills, visual thinking and will expand into management, sales, networking and negotiating. According to iversity the new PRO line already generated a significant six-digit revenue for the MOOC provider.
Last year iversity introduced paid tracks to its MOOC offer, giving learners the choice between a free audit track or a paid certificate track.
