Ellucian, a global SaaS provider for higher education institutions, is going to create 50 new edtech jobs over the next three years in Dublin. The project is supported by IDA Ireland through the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
Ellucian offers a range of cloud hosted services for the higher education sector and has more than 2.400 clients across 40 countries. The new jobs in Dublin will be in technical sales, marketing, customer support, and product development.
Last year, Ellucian acquired CampusIT, a Dublin-based provider of student management systems for higher education institutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Dublin is becoming a leading edtech hub in Europe. Last month Affero Labs, a Brazilian edtech company in the corporate training market announced that it will open an overseas office in Dublin with 40 new jobs. In September 2014, online course marketplace Udemy opened an office in the Irish capital.
