Bertelsmann announced that it has combined its education activities into a separate business unit, Bertelsmann Education Group. Kay Krafft leads the unit as CEO, Jarek Gabor serves as CFO.
Bertelsmann Education Group is headquartered in New York and combines Arist Education Systems, Alliant International University, Relias Learning, Synergis Education, its stake in Udacity and Bertelsmann’s shares in the two University Ventures Funds and their investments.
Bertelsmann aims to turn education into the third mainstay of its business, alongside media and services. In the medium term, Bertelsmann plans to generate €1 billion in revenues through Bertelsmann Education Group in three different sectors: higher education, e-learning and services.
